An ACM Celebration of Women in Computing: AfricaCWIC 2024

AfricaCWIC

The ACM Celebration of Women in Computing: AfricaCWIC is aimed at connecting women from diverse technical disciplines and encouraging them pursue their education and profession in computing. For the purpose of gender diversity, this event is open to both male and female participants.

AfricaCWIC brings together undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, academics and practitioners to present and share their achievements and experiences. There shall be keynote from distinguished women personalities from both Academic and Industry to  discuss the theme as it relates to experiences in the computing profession.

AfricaCWIC was hosted for the first time in Africa in 2022 with participants joining from around the world. The inaugural event had keynotes as well as tracks for our Hackathon, Doctoral Consortium and Poster presenters. This year’s team of experts have put together a great programme. Join us at USIU-Africa or online for AfricaCWIC 2024! We look forward to seeing you in September!
